About us

The Cognitome Program, Founded by Dr. Mohita Shrivastava, Ph.D., an internationally trained neuroscientist & neuropsychologist, offers therapeutic interventions and management for brain, mind and behavioral issues. It also provides cognitive control and executive function enhancement, cognitive skills training, cognitive rehabilitation/remediation therapy, neuroscientific mindfulness approaches, brain wave entrainment, guidance and counseling, as well as outreach and global research initiatives. Rooted in the philosophy of Rene Descartes and Albert Einstein, the program embraces and recognizes the importance of cognitive functions and cognitive skills in personal and professional growth. With a focus on neuroplasticity, the Cognitome Program acknowledges the brain’s remarkable ability to rewire itself, opening avenues for learning new skills and breaking free from limiting patterns of thinking.

At Cognitome, we utilize evidence-based tools and techniques widely used in cognitive rehabilitation therapy, cognitive control, and cognitive skills enhancement. These approaches aim to harness the immense potential of the brain and mind.

She has also completed a refresher skill enhancement training on “FMRI in Neuroscience Research” organized by MGH Athinuola Martino’s Centre for Brain Imaging in collaboration with Harvard University, MIT, Massachusetts, Boston, USA. She has completed her didactic training in EEG/QEEG conducted by STS Inc. United States, in the process of QEEG certification by the International Quantitative EEG Board, USA. She has also completed phase 2 practicum training and the requirements for mentorship in EEG/QEEG from Successful Practitioner and InMindOut, San Antonio, Texas, USA. She has also completed her didactic training and phase 2 practicum training in Neurofeed back from Successful Practitioner and InMindOut, San Antonio, Texas, USA. She has been involved in Neuroscience and Neuropsychology teaching, research, therapeutics, projects & outreach, cognitive rehabilitation & executive functions training, and Online talks/workshops for more than 12 years. She has published various peer-reviewed articles in internationally acclaimed journals, newspapers, & magazines. She writes a column on mental health in leading daily’s & magazines of GCC region. She is the editorial board member for internationally acclaimed journals; Journal of Inegrated Health (URF publishers), Global Journal of Neuroscience (Unified Citation Journals).

As a trained and experienced neuroscientist, she believes that brain & mind health can be improved significantly by following a holistic approach along with evidence-based scientific mind and brain exercises. She, therefore, felt the need to develop a neuroscientific, holistic, structured & customized program, ‘The Cognitome Program’ to help people who are dealing with psychological, neurological, age-related cognitive decline by improving cognitive functioning & their overall quality of life. Cognitome offers therapeutics/management of cognitive control & executive functions; issues of brain-mind; cognitive skills training; neuroscientific mindfulness techniques, outreach & research, awareness talks & sessions.

Mission & Vision

The Cognitome Program is guided by the concept of brain plasticity (neuroplasticity). Inspired by the words of Michael Gazzaniga and David Eagleman, pioneers in cognitive neuroscience, we believe in the brain’s ability to renew itself throughout life and its capacity to shape our experiences. Our mission is to empower individuals by addressing their brain-mind and behavioral challenges through education, cognitive rehabilitation therapy, management and therapeutics, research and outreach, guidance and counseling, and global projects. We strive to provide resources and support for stress, anxiety treatment, PTSD treatment and offer cognitive control, cognitive skills training and cognitive remediation therapy in Dubai and beyond.

At Cognitome, we employ various cognitive improvement strategies and learning techniques to promote cognitive restructuring and enhance neuroplasticity. By prioritizing cognitive function, we aim to facilitate positive changes in the brain and mind.

Our vision is to cultivate interest in cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology while raising awareness about the potential of the brain and mind. We strive to enable individuals to live fuller, more productive, happier, and healthier lives. Through cognitive exercises, brain training, mind pruning exercises, neuroscientific meditation, brain wave entrainment, and other evidence-based practices, we empower individuals to tap into their cognitive potential. Moreover, we integrate various cognitive improvement techniques to address anxiety, PTSD, Stress and behavioral challenges, offering comprehensive support for individuals seeking effective treatment options.

Furthermore, we incorporate neuroplasticity-based activities, exercises, cognitive skills training, neuroscientific midfulness approaches, brain wave entrainment to reframe distorted thinking patterns and promote adaptive thought processes. By combining the principles of cognitive control and related behavioral approaches, we aim to support individuals in achieving improved cognitive function and overall well-being.
